Information about Rudolfinum

RudolfinumThe Rudolfinum is a music auditorium and one of the most important neo-renaissance buildings in Prague. Currently it is the home-stage of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra and one of the main venues for the Prague Spring International Music Festival held each year from May to June.

The ceremonial opening on February 8, 1885 was attended by Rudolf, Austrian Prince Royal, in whose honour the House of Artists was given the name Rudolfinum. The concert hall was designed by architects Josef Zítek and Josef Schultz. The facade is an analogy of the fire destroyed Semper Opera in Dresden (1838-41). Dvorak hall has 1023 seats available and Suk hall has 211 seats.

The whole building of Rudolfinum was generally reconstructed in the years 1990-1992 since that the concert hall has exeptional characteristic and it is recommended by experts for all kind recording. You have a unique opportunity to listen professional concerts in this exclusive concert hall.
